Clarinet Solo of the Orchestre de la Musique de l'Air and teacher at CRR of Versailles

Born in 1987, François Tissot is from the south of France. Attracted by music since his youth, from the piano to the drums, it is to the clarinet that he joined the Conservatory at Rayonnement Régional of Aix en Provence and then that of Rueil Malmaison. Subsequently he is admitted to the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Musique of Lyon and Paris with Nicolas Baldeyrou, Michel Moraguès... After obtaining a Master of Interpreter with very good distinction, he is winner of the international competition «ICA Young Artist Competition» in the United States in 2012. The same year, he was appointed to the position of Solo clarinet of the Orchestre de l'Armée de l'Air de Paris.
Currently a professor at the Regional Conservatory of Versailles, he teaches both classical repertoire and improvised music. He is passionate about the symphonic repertoire and regularly guest in the most prestigious orchestras: the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Geneva Camerata, the Liège Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Ile de France, the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, the Opéra de Rouen Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre Besançon Franche-Comté, the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne, the Lyon Opera Orchestra, the Orchestre Symphonique de la Région Centre-Tours, the Orchestre de Picardie, the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Toulon and the Orchestre Régional de Cannes.
In 2013, his experience as an orchestra led him to play many months in Asia, as a solo clarinet with the Seoul Philarmonic Orchestra under the direction of Myung-whun Chung.Being among the most eclectic French clarinettists, he advocates the mixing of genres, who make the color and singularity of his improvisations. He is often asked for film scores, or collaborate with variety singers and jazz artists, and has already made many recordings ( Universal Music, Naïve, SonyMusic, WarnerMusic, Bis, Timpani, Indesens... ) Every year, he also travels the zenith and roads of France with the tour orchestrasconcert Sinfonia Pop Orchestra and Yellow Socks Orchestra, which he particularly likes.His musical activities enable him to perform on major international stages (USA, China, Korea, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium... ) and national such as the Philharmonie de Paris, the Scène Musicale, the Paris Defense Arena, the Salle Pleyel, the Grand Rex, Radio-France, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, the Salle Gaveau, the Palais des Sports, the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Auditorium du Louvre, the Zéniths... )
Solo clarinet of the Orchestre Appassionato, he is currently in residence at the Seine Musicale and has just released the album «La Mer» (2024) in partnership with «The Sea Cleaners», an organization that preserves the oceans. As a chamber music enthusiast, he was an artist resident at the Polignac foundation from 2010 to 2015 with the Initium ensemble and has since taught chamber music at the CRD in Chartres. In his cross-cutting projects, François Tissot leads the Jazz section for Disney France concerts and prepares his first solo album (release 2026) which will promote the clarinet in styles little explored and that brings together the most talented musicians of his generation.François Tissot is supported by the house Buffet-Crampon, he plays a game of clarinets Legend.
