Rie Okamura

Lecturer at Nagoya College of Music and member of the Iris Clarinet Quartet.

Rie Okamura graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, studying in the Department of Instrumental Music. She has completed the Toho Orchestra Academy training course. She has performed at the Gifu Civic Arts Festival Emerging Artists Concert, and the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Emerging Artists Concert. She has taken part in both a master class at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and the Affinis Summer Music Festival. She has also released a CD called Clarinet SEVEN’S, and “Niji” (Rainbow) with the Iris Quartet. Okamura has studied clarinet under Ayako Asada, Masatake Kaihoko, Yuji Murai, and Yoshiaki Suzuki. For chamber music she has studied under Hidemi Mikai and Kenji Watanabe. From 2008 to 2022 she was contracted with the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra. Okamura is now a part-time lecturer for Nagoya College of Music and Doho High School’s Music Department, as well as for Oogaki Women's Junior College and Kinjogakuin University. She is also a Dolce Music Academy instructor, and an Iris Clarinet Quartet member.
