Hisae Kori

Part-time lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and at their Cross Arts Examination station. Member of the wind quintet Hana-Emi, and Leader of of Ensemble Paris-Normandie.

Hisae Kori was born in Wakkanai city, Hokkaido. She began playing piano at age 4 and clarinet at age 12. After graduating from Hokusei Gakuen Girls' High School in the music department, Kunitachi College of Music, and Toho Gakuen Graduate School, she moved to France. She graduated both the École Normale de Musique de Paris, and the Rueil-Malmaison Regional Conservatory of Music with highest honors. In 1994, she passed an audition sponsored by the Japan Federation of Musicians. Then in 1998 she won 2nd place in the clarinet category at the Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. In 1999, she was chosen for the Japan Woodwind Competition for the clarinet section. She took part in the Pacific Music Festival (PMF) between 1998 and 2000, after passing the audition to become an academy student. She has performed Clarinet Duo Recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in 2005, and Sapporo Concert Hall in 2006. In 2009, she gave a recital in Chengdu, China. She has an excellent reputation for teaching and holds classes and courses all over Japan. She is also a contracted lecturer with Buffet Crampon Japan Co., Ltd. She has studied clarinet with Koichi Hamanaka, Kazuko Ninomiya, Guy Deplus, Florent Héau, and Michel Arrignon. Kori is currently a part-time lecturer for both Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and their Cross Arts Examination station. She is also a member of the wind quintet Hana-Emi, and leader of Ensemble Paris-Normandie.
