After starting out by learning the cello, Mélanie turned to the oboe which she studied at the Regional Conservatory of Montpellier and then at the Regional Conservatory of Angers. She joined Eric Speller's class at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and obtained her Masters with a distinction in 2019. Passionate about orchestral practice, Mélanie is regularly invited to play in prestigious Belgian institutions such as the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, but also in France at the Opéra de Lorraine or with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire. She is now co-principal oboe at the Orchestre Colonne in Paris.
She also shares her passion with the younger generation by teaching at the Laval conservatory.
