Tomohiko Owada

Tomohiko Owada started playing clarinet at the age of 9. After graduating from Kunitachi College of Music High School and Kunitachi College of Music, he moved to France and graduated with top honors at the Paul Dukas Conservatory in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. He was chosen for the 6th Japan National Clarinet Competition. To date, he has studied under Akihiro Takaka, Yukio Ohashi, Nagataka Ogasawara, Koichi Hamanaka, and Michel Arrignon. Owada takes active part in chamber music, orchestras, and solo performances. He is currently a part-time lecturer at Kunitachi College of Music, director at Japan Clarinet Org incorporated, and director for the Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition.
